A select group of "sazigyo" - Burmese Buddhist manuscript binding ribbons. These are tablet woven with hand-spun or imported cotton in the 19th, or early 20th century. Around 1900, fine commercial threads were introduced, resulting in wonderfully detailed ribbons with both text and pictorial elements. Prone to damage and fading, only a small fraction of sazigyo survive in good condition. Pricing on request.
