Maloh Dayak panel

A tubular beaded panel from the Maloh Dayak people, Kapuas River, W. Kalimantan. Probably from a skirt cloth, this panel features a wonderful array of stylized dragons and other creatures, with great interplay between the yellow and black fields. The half side shown is 17” (43cm) long and 4” (10cm) wide. Photo of other side on request.
